I think putting a team in Vegas would be for many reasons a smart move.

But as for the topic, Vegas knows what they're doing. They know we're still a dangerous team when healthy, especially in the postseason. We know how to turn our game on like a switch, and that we're still insanely skilled and talented and experienced. No one wants to meet us in the first round.

I agree, a team in Vegas is the way to go.

Also, the oddmakers know as well as any one that watches hockey that come playoff time you can never count the Wings out. Teams don't dominate for almost two decades and then because of a bunch of injuries get ruled out as contenders.

Are we are as serious contenders as years passed? Not at the moment, but that doesnt mean we're not going to be hanging around come playoff time.

This team healthy is a dangerous team. As dangerous as in years past? No. As Ozzie said "I wouldn't want to face us in round one." And again health is the key but they could do it.

Even though there are a lot of good teams in the WEst this year I think a lot of teams are playing above their abilities while, due in part to injuries, the Wings are playing below theirs. Come playoff time those teams, for the most part, even out. Personally, i think there are a lot of pretenders this year (at least right now)
