Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 I noticed the 3 other players on the ice at leastOf course you did, but that's not a stat. Why didn't you just post that right away then?
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Of course you did, but that's not a stat. Why didn't you just post that right away then? Because it was about 3:30 am and I was tired... Simple fact, a guy that has been in the dog house plays 9 minutes and does not make himself standout will not last for long. esteef 2,679 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) I noticed Leino, he was standing around waiting for Flip and Cleary to get him the puck for a shot, a la Brett Hull. And I noticed every time the puck went to him, it was on the stick of the opposition within 2 seconds with him trying to catch up or picking himself up off the ice. Nice work! esteef Edited January 8, 2010 by esteef
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 Leino so far even though his sample size is shorter. Deveraux was never counted on to be a big goal scorer or stuff like that. His play or lack thereof was often overblown in here and he wasn't all that bad. Not great/not terrible. Leino has plenty of time though to improve.

You can have your opinions, but I'm glad they're not facts. To say he's not EVEN an NHL caliber player is just wrong. IMO NHL caliber player, for forward, means that you're in the top 360 (or 390 if 13th forwards are counted). Edited January 8, 2010 by Finnish Wing
Mors 201 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 The only time I noticed Leino last night was when he was continually getting knocked on his ass along the boards...same as every game he's played this season. He needs to hit the gym or hit the road.

He cant be a checker because he has no speed or will to fight in the corners (he's even said that himself). He's not a powerplay specialist. He's not a great set up man cause he gets knocked off the puck VERY easily. He doesnt drive the net to score goals.
