Well what does it say? Bork! Bork! Lidstrom never makes an announcement about his status during the season... not too worked up over it.
AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Kind of like Yzerman's contracts towards the end of his career. In a no-cap era. If it were a cap world, it would have been MUCH different.
GORM19 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Kind of like Yzerman's contracts towards the end of his career. If you look at it yzerman only made 1.25 million in his last year as a 40 year old
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 If you look at it yzerman only made 1.25 million in his last year as a 40 year old Some could argue though that Lidstrom, being one of the best players at his position year in and year out is different than Yzerman, who was not in the top tiers of his position at the end of his career. Lidstrom's stats have dried up, but positionally I haven't seen anyone better this season. The guy is brilliant on the ice, which earns him a 4 million 1 year MINIMUM.
