stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 I haven't heard of anyone claiming him and wasn't his waiver over at 8am this morning? I was very pleasantly surprised by this part of the Leino transaction and think his biggest problem thus far in the NHL, is he wasn't given ample time to develop properly... he prob won't be back next year anyway, but if he buys into the system, I think he could end up being a quality NHL player after 2 years in GR and developing in a real system... Give him the rest of this season and next season in GR with call ups to Detroit here and there and we'll have a quality bottom line defenseman that can stick up for guys and hammer some forwards. At 25 he has time to develop some defensive game still. The best part about this guy is in the coming seasons if we have a tough guy on the 4th line, we have a solid 1,2 punch with Ole playing.
