MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 Ryan Getzlaf suffered an ankle injury in last night's game against Los Angeles. X-Rays were negative, but he'll have an MRI today. He left the Honda Center on crutches with his foot in a protective boot. Sounds like a high ankle sprain. Seen Stamkos?
Statts 4 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 Ouch. I know team Canada is deep, but loosing Getzlaf would be a huge blow.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 Yikes. If Getz is out for any decent period of time, the Ducks' playoff hopes could be very quickly dashed. Good news for us, bad news for them.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 I won't feel sorry for Anaheim if he's out for any lenght of time. We need all the help we can get, even if it's in the form of injuries. And Team Canada almost gets stronger if they add Stamkos, he has twice as many goals as Getzlaf this year.
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 I'd take Getzlaf over Stamkos 100 times out of 50.

They could build a line around those two. Staal-Getzlaf-Perry or something like that.

Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) Getzlaf is like the tough, play making version of Franzen. I think I just made a fact right there. Edited February 9, 2010 by Z and D for the C

mjlegend 155 Report post Posted February 10, 2010 Damn. If this were a non-Olympic year, I'd hope Getzlaf would be back just in time to play for Canada in the World Championships. This Canadian team is getting less and less reasons to get me to like it. If Yzerman and Babcock weren't involved, I don't know what the hell I'd do.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted February 10, 2010 According to TSN, it's good news for Getz - he's listed as day-to-day right now.
