Not a bad game. Frustrating as usual how they just can't seem to finish, but they played a "technically" good game.

And Franzen continues to show how he's Detroit's best player. He's got at least a point in each of his games this year, I think. When was the last time we could say that of a player?

I've watched 2 games with Franzen back and now remember what it's like when a big guys finishes checks. Same with Homer for that matter. Yes, Bert has scored some big goals this year, but he has no heart and no drive. The guy will only perform as well as he thinks he has to.

It's so frustrating when Bert peels off instead of making the check. He needs to play a much smarter, harder game. Always trying to play fancy with spins and over handling. Go to the net you big a** mofo. Soft and frustrating, he looks scared to hurt someone. He's good value for the money this year but I want to see how he plays in the layoffs if we get there. If the softness continues, I want no part of another contract for him.

Well, we didn't deserve any points in St. Louis, yet we got 1, while here we deserved 2 points, but wound up with 1. Thus, I guess these games even out.

The LA game, however, sticks out like a sore thumb. We should have gotten 2 points there, and I'm afraid it'll come back to bite us in the ass.

A month ago I was hoping we'd pull away from the pack like Phoenix and LA have done recently. Unfortunately, though, it looks like it's going to come down to the last week of the season for us. That's what I wanted this team to avoid doing.

On an interesting side note, I've never watched ANY Red Wings regular season games with such dread and anticipation, much like it was a playoff game. Now I know what that feels like for other teams' fans.
