But Lids and Kronner not the first pairing? But Enstrom and Ohlund are? It's not even that Nick and Nick are better...it's that they'd be better drunk and stoned.

Not sure I'd put too much value in the order of the lines. It's probably a 1a, 1b, 1c situation, with Lidstrom and Kronwall getting a lot of ice-time especially on the PP.

Yes I would have liked Mule with Z. One thing I do like about Hornqvist on that line is that he models his game on Holmstroms. The line is built sort of like the ZDH line from the Wings.. only question is if it will work as well.

I like that Zetterberg has someone on his line that can pass the puck to him. He's at his best when he has a linemate like that.

Also I thought Modin plays LW? Wouldn't you want Franzen on the right so that you have his shot as an immediate threat? You know like with Ovechkin and Kovalchuk.

Franzen should be on Zetterberg's line. Then, they can put out a unit of 4 Wings plus Forsberg. More continuity that way.

They played alot together in Modo in late 90's and also during the lockout if i remember correctly they got chemistry and he's a great right winger with a great shot.. sometimes a bit soft but far from leino-soft.

Yeah, but the Sedins have played with Ohlund before and they needed a mobile defender with him. And the Sedin's are probably the 1a line considering their play most of this season. Then to put the Nic/k's with Z figures. Foppa can play with anyone (and should be great with Z actually). But yeah, Franzen may well take Hornqvist's place. Still, I like these preliminary lines. Good balance and good scoring threat on every line imo.

I don't care about depth charts, but for the sake of Sweden and their desire to win, they should give the minutes to Lids and Kronner. I don't think it matters who Nick is with, they'll always look great. He overrides any chemistry Ohlund may have with them. He's Lidstrom for pete's sake lol. And trying to match up forward lines with D pairing is nice but with on the fly changes, it's just not going to happen consistently.

I think the Sedin boys with ol' Fop would've been good. If Forsberg's on his game, that line would be deadly. If he's not, the Sedin's are good enough to compensate and a 50% Foppa is still better than Weinhandl and his chemistry with the Sedins.

Then put Hank with Mule and Alfredson. That line would be magic I think. Two of the three know eachother's game enough to play well together and Alfredsson can play well with anyone.

Put Hornqvist with Backstrom and Erikson and you've got one of the best third lines around, and then Pahlsson with Wienhandl and Samuell-sorry....Modin

I take your point but i think you overestimate the fact that Ohlund/Enstrom is seemingly the first pairing. My guess is that these lines will get roughly the same time on the ice, even strength, but Lids will get a lot more pp/pk for instance.

I don't think they're gonna be a "real" first pairing. I'd be shocked if Lidstrom doesn't end up playing top minutes.

But you (like soooo many others) are underestimating Enstrom, he's atleast as good as Kronwall in terms of skill. And then you consider that Kronner isn't 100% as well.

I've watched quite a bit of Enstrom as he's on two of my fantasy teams.

He might be on par with Kronner offensively but defensively, no way in hell is he on par with or better than him.

Ridiculously good team Sweden have, stacked on all four lines.

Can't help but feel Backstrom on the 3rd and Franzen on the 4th are being a tad wasted though. I guess things might change.
