2010 Winter Olympics - Finland vs Belarus (Group C)

I have no idea what line Fil has been on for most of the game. He got his goal when he was with Koivu but then I've also seen him on the third line with Miettinen.

I'm guessing that because he doesn't get PP time he plays on other lines as his normal first line teammates rest up a little.

Anyone know if/where we can look at icetime for the game?

After PP's he switches places with Hagman for few shifts. Though, it seems like a permanent move now.

Hagman-Koivu-Ruutu

Jokinen-Koivu-Selänne

Lehtinen-Filppula-Miettinen

Ruutu-Kapanen-Peltonen

I don't know, it seems like Fil actually started to have a little more jump because center is his natural position. He really seemed to like skating through the center of the ice.

Just finished watching the game and boy was Filppula awesome!!

Started perhaps a bit slow as a wing on the first line but when he was shifted to centre his own line he started to dominate. Had a few quality scoring chances, scored a goal, drew a PP and had a beauty of a hit. He was flying in the second and third periods, had the puck on a string. He's seriously starting to look lilke Datsyuk in terms of stealing the puck, he's always taking it away from opponents. Very strong opening game for him, looked super confident rushing up ice towards the end of the game.

Suprised no one has mentioned Kolosov. IMO he was impressive, did what he had to do. Pretty confident in saying that he wasn't on the ice for one of Finland's goals, so he took care of business. Didn't see much of him in the 1st but got more ice-time as the game progressed. Played a few shifts on the PK in the second and third periods and he used his size and reach well. Had one pretty solid hit and had a few surprisingly nice passes to clear the zone. I like his potential.

Tomorrow's, or today's rather, game against the USA should (hopefully) be pretty interesting. I'll be sure to watch Filppula with some extra attention the way some others here do.

USA plays Norway tomorrow and I think Finland's next game is against Germany. It's the USA/Finland women who play tomorrow.

Huh... I've been going off this website. It's been the men games so far. Guess they messed up that one.

EDIT: Which one do you use?

Actually, he scored that goal on while on the 1st line wing.
