NomadFromKazoo 42 Report post Posted February 21, 2010 Women's hockey is going to be thrown out of the Olympics if it doesn't start getting more competitive. I don't understand why the Canadians don't slow down after they have a 5-6 goal lead. But I guess they're run by the evil coach from Mighty Ducks: "It's not worth winning if you can't win big!". I haven't watched the Canadian women yet, but the Americans were clearly doing that. In the third period of the game I saw they just kept dumping it in the zone and skating away. Maybe one skater would chase it and waste some more time. What's really scary is the final scores actually make the games look closer then they are.

LidYzeHelm 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2010 The only thing that bothers me is curling in the Olympics. I can understand Womens Hockey in the Olympics, but on tv while it's developing into a competitive sport should not happen. I sat through 3 extra innings of mens curling the other day waiting for the Russia vs. Slovakia game to come on. This is ridiculous that curling is an olympic sport and that it's on tv delaying the broadcast of a hockey game. Womens hockey should be fine, but not on tv. I play Midget hockey in california and the "Lady Ducks" Midget girls team is really good. I could see them destroying every single olympic womens team including Canada. They play against us and other mens Midget hockey teams without checking and their puck movement and shots are not bad at all. Yea we beat them 8-0 everytime, but as far as skill level compared to womens hockey in the olympics is far greater. Cheers, J
