neidermayer is looking weird with the beard, i am not a fan of him, maybe i am still angry from the 2007 conference final but still i think he is overrated and agressive and i do not like looking at him with the beard, imagine if you are drew doughty and your linemate is 400 years old with a beard

Amazing.

You guys are acting like Canada had an awful game. Miller played amazing, the team blocked shots and cleared rebounds.

How about the team's captain, who should of rallied his troops and played a flawless game but his giveaway directly led to Rafalski's first goal? The "great" Sidney Crosby scored a goal but him and Nash had a team worse -3 plus/minus

Or how about Thorton's linemate Marleau, who had 6 shots on goal but failed to deliver?

Everybody on Canada's roster is playing like s***.

Brodeur 18 saves to Miller's 42?

Shall I keep going?

well put, and i'm pretty sure marleau was going for the cycle...he hit the U, the S and the A on millers jersey

our boys should lay off the pre-game beers EH?

Thornton is about as welcome as a cockroach on a wedding cake.

There's a damned good reason that Boston parted ways with him. He's proving they were right and we can thank God we didn't trade Pasha for that d-bag.

Say what you want about big Joe, but who was Jonathan Cheechoo before he started playing with Big Joe. How many other wingers have returned to normal after leaving his line?

Marleau has been a choke since he joined the league, Heatley while great at times at other times is severely lacking in the effort category.

Their D needs help, they had a perennial choke artist as a coach, Hanto Yo Baby!

Joe has shown that he is a top 10 forward in this league, it is unfair to blame any of the Sharks or Team Canada's falls on one player.

What about Sid the Kid being -3(maybe -2) despite scoring a goal? Broduer being a colander for the a better part of that game.

Or instead of being a culture of blame, how about giving some credit to a determined scrappy team, with one hell of a goaltender.

Was the Swiss game a weak showing, not in my opinion, Jonas Hiller has had better games than that, he was great don't get me wrong, but it shouldn't be a surprise is my point, Hiller has done this before.

And this year the Canadians are the Russians of 1980, everyone wants to take them done this year, it is everyone's (especially the Swiss, Norway teams in this competition) BIG GAME. Every country circled the date they could face Canada, alright maybe not all of them but more than circled their games against the USA.

Have the Canadians (BTW which way should I spell that if anyone cares e or a, I always thought E but spelled it a), played their best, no, I get that. But they have been challenged pretty good as well.

With Roberto Luongo in net and having already lost to the Americans, the Germans are gonna get waxed. If they don't wax Germany, meaning they have not responded to adversity, they are done in this Olympics. If anything, the loss should be the motivation needed to win the Gold.

They don't need a new coach or a new GM or new 2nd line center, they need motivation.

Its hard to argue the stats on Hossa in the playoffs:

Hossa (Playoffs)- .77 points per game career

Thornton (Playoffs)- .70 points per game career

I would have to say if Thornton is a playoff choker than so is Hossa.

Then so is Datsyuk: .64 career playoff points per game..Thornton has been in the league 12 years and is labeled a choker because he is one of the top NHL players year in year out during the regular season and has yet to win a cup? Need I remind you of a player who was one of the top NHL players year in and year out and questions about if he had what it took to lead a team to a cup led to him being floated in trade rumors until he won a cup in his 14th season and all of those questions vaporized?? His name was Steve Yzerman...let's lay off applying the choker label to Thornton until he retires ringless.
