Not really no. This website had the biggest boner for Ovechkin, Malkin,Kovalchuk and Datsyuk. They didn't realize they had no defense prettymuch and an average goaltender at best. The biggest lack the Russians had was heart. They just didn't wanna win by the looks of it.

Leaving a struggling goalie in net for so long (I doubt many are surprised Nabokov choked) and not taking advantage of the line changes while being the home team, and letting Canada stack their D against your top lines = LOLOLOL DUMBASS COACHING

I'm the Russians have a "biggest" lack. They're pretty crappy in too many department not named offense. And even that seems to be overrated.

I agree. Everyone on hear who was not a Team Canada fan thought that Russia would wipe the floor with us.

I also agree with Original-Six. That was terrible job not pulling Nabokov and no most aren't surprised that he choked. Getting the match ups would not have mattered though. Canada purely dominated every aspect of the game.

Bowman was quoted in the La Presse (montreal paper) talking about the Russian team....I'm surprised nobody picked up on his harsh comments:

Saw Datsyuk at breakfast. Expected him to be crushed. His little daughter was cuddling & kissing him. His smile was huge. Perspective.
