Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted March 21, 2010 With all the moaning and groaning after the dropped point at Edmonton, the boys pull one out of the hat and win in Vancouver, and throughly deserved to. So a 5pt return from the road trip will do for me. Now we have 7 of the last 11 games at the Joe, and the ball is in our court again. Pity we aint in the East as we would be safe now!! I think these high intensity remaining games will do us good for the playoffs should we make it and hopefully we will. Here's a scenario not many have suggested on here, both the Flames and us make the post season and the Avs fall away into 9th spot. They have LAx3 San Jose x2 Ducks x2 and all their remaining 12 games against West conf teams. Could be a real tight finish, if they lose in Anaheim tonight they'll be just 3pts ahead in 7th spot. SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted March 21, 2010 I think we all wish they could've gotten the points in a different fashion with buzzer beaters and barely beating 2 of the 3 teams but in the grand scheme of things, can't complain too much about 5 of 6 points on a western trip, even though they played bad overall against one fo the worst teams in the league in that process. I don't see what's so bad about the buzzer beaters, I actually think it's amazing it kills confidence of the other team and give your team a major boost.
