MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Who's gonna take it? I'd say Pens in 5 or 6.

crotty99 302 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 This will be the 3rd time in 4 seasons these two have met in the first round isn't it? I really haven't watched too much of the Sens this year. Are they Any good? Did the loss of Heatley hurt them much? My money would still be on the Pens regardless...I'll be cheering for the Sens though
puffy 97 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Pens in 5. Ottawa isn't much of a threat.

But they will have a question mark in net regardless of which one they throw in there. No Kovalev, but I'm not sure if that will actually hurt them. The bigger the game, the less he does. Sounds like not much has changed then. Still can't believe how easily the Ducks won in 07, especially after the Sens dominated just about every series they played. Maybe that was more of a reflection on the East..

Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Pens in five seems fair. Sens aren't as bad as they were in 08 but not good enough to make much of a series of it.
puffy 97 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Ottawa will roll over and die. Pens get too confident and get eliminated in the next round.
Buppy 1,720 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Pens in 5. Do the Rangers have a tie-breaker over Montreal? If so, that would mean Montreal is the 8th seed.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Pens in 5. Do the Rangers have a tie-breaker over Montreal? If so, that would mean Montreal is the 8th seed. No, Montreal won the season series between the two. Ottawa will roll over and die. Pens get too confident and get eliminated in the next round. All that remains to be seen is which Penguin gets pasted from behind by Alfredsson.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Pens have been slumping again lately, so who knows? 4-4-2 in their last 10.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Pens have been slumping again lately, so who knows? 4-4-2 in their last 10. The flip side is that no other playoff team gives up goals like Ottawa does, so that probably won't serve them well against the Pens.
8 Legged RedWing 367 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Elliot stands on his head. Sens in 7. Heard it here first. I am with you. I think the Pens will be over confident and the Sens have been playing some decent hockey this year. Sens in 7 with a helluva series.

ben_usmc 253 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 The Pens will probably stomp them BUT I hope Chris Neil beats the s*** out of Crosby/Cooke
jeff48109 474 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 I think it will all boil down to how Malkin plays. If Conn Smythe malkin shows up, Pens win easy. But malkin has been terribly inconsistent this season and takes plenty of bad penalties
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 The Pens will probably stomp them BUT I hope Chris Neil beats the s*** out of Crosby/Cooke If Cooke even plays. Kane might have concussed him pretty good tonight.
egroen 384 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 I'll go Pens in 6 - this will be a tougher matchup than most of the media will give credit to. I consider Alfredsson the type of leader who could lead the Sens past the Pens this year.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Must be nice to be in the East. Drawing the likes of the Senators every year in the first round.... I kind of like the Sens - but they are not much of a match-up for the elite teams of the league. One can dream though....
