I was planning on parking at the JLA garage and then walking with my brother to a resteraunt. Can anyone recommend a good one? Or maybe change my plans? ie. better place to park the go from there?

detroit brewing co. was sweet... i only got to sip my dads beer since i wasn't 21 but they got microbrews n good food. the people mover is probably somewhere around there since you could walk to comerica park from the place in a minute or two.

of course there's always hockeytown cafe that i've never gotten to go to but definitely a place i will go to once i turn 21... i think they have a shuttle or something from there to JLA?

I hate the Hockeytown Shuttle. Absolutely terrible. That's why I'm not going there

Cobo Joe's is great. right next to cobo hall. You can park at the JLA lot or right behind Cobo Joes in a small lot.

I usually eat at home :) I can recommend you my home cooking if you’ll be able to come to Russia.

I personally love Greektown. Parthenon, Pegasus, Pizza Papalis, and if those are all packed 5 Guys is great too. Greektown has started charging for event parking, but if you go in and get one of their free player's cards, you can park there for free. There's a people mover stop in the casino that will take you straight to the Joe. Every time i go downtown for anything, my day starts in the Greektown parking garage lol.
