Guest Howard He Do It?!

It's simply mind boggling that a good team like San Jose can be so consistently bad in the playoffs.

That glare Nabokov gives Boyle after the puck crosses the line is classic.

Wow.. How good has Crosby been... talk about owning a series...if he just could have a more mature behaviour be more humble and give credit to other teams he would be the best ever

It was a freak play. Boyle would have made that play 99 out of 100 times. I wasn't pissed really, just stunned.majorly stunned. Sharks dominated them the last two games. If we don't win this series, we were just meant not to win with this group and its time to rebuild. I don't even know what to say or think anymore. The Sharks franchise is cursed somehow.

They've gotten a lot of shots but from what I read on Sharks GDTs is that they're mostly coming from the perimeter and are one and done. And apparently Marleau doesn't go anywhere near the net.

well yeah most are from the side or the blue line but some are on the slot. We have two guys ready to bang the rebound or trying to screen Patrick Roy, i mean Anderson. Marleau needs to step up his game. He is the only guy that seems that doesn't care, that doesn't go to the net and doesn't battle. Its either he's really worried about his baby that they just had, or he wants sharks fans to suffer reallly really really bad. If plays like this for the rest of hte series, I want him gone. He's home grown talent, but I don't want a player who doesn't try their hardest especially in the playoffs

I remember someone on the Sharks boards making a picture of Scott Hannan in a Red Wings uniform a few years ago; it was after game four (the OT victory) against the Sharks, and Hannan had failed to clear the zone on the play that led to Schneider's winning goal. The heat he got for that was fairly brutal, as it was a good clearing attempt; I can't decide if Boyle deserves his heat or not, given that his puck did go off of O'Reilly's stick.

Yeah it is the only explanation - the Sharks are cursed. Is the arena built on an old native American burial ground or something?

Hang in there. I am trying to remember what I felt like early -mid-90s when I wasn't sure if the Wings would ever break through. Then they finally did. You might have to wait a few more years but it will happen someday.

At least if the team gets eliminated early this time, there will be no hesitation whatsoever about blowing up the team. Watching that game reminded me of some of the Wings PO series - outshoot the opponents almost 3:1, have the puck the whole time, but yet come up empty - been there...

Hahhh, i was at that game. It was rather dissapointing, the whole arena was groaning and moaning and we all knew we lost the series. Boyle, would have made that play 99 percent of the time, its just bad luck.

I don't really know, all i know is this team is really damn frusrating in the playoffs. When the Sharks play a good playoff game, and the Sharks still lose, it gets rather frusrating. We out hit the avs, out chanced them, competed. Like our radio guy said in the interview today" Run them over, they can giggle about this all they want, but they won't be giggling after game 6. hahaha. that just made my day when he said that.

Blowing up; like seriously the gm will be fired, our coaching staff will be fired, our top players will be gone, everyone will be gone. And every Shark fan will be happy about it; they've had enough chances to succeed, and they have epicly failed the last few seasons. Hopefully, they will score on anderson and turn the series around, and maybe this moment will actually help our team be motivated and try to turn this ship around.

And good luck in your series, I didnt' watch the game, but i saw the third period. I thought you guys played ok, but Howard needed to stop the fourth goal, the momentum was on your side and he killed it. I hope he rebounds for you guys.

That would explain a lot wouldn't it?

Either that or Sharks in real life are very angry they're being objectified as a logo.

O'Reilly claimed on Denver radio today the puck may have come within a "hair" of his stick. I'm not sure it even touched it.

As for Boyle - just bad luck on his part. How about Nabokov - hasn't been very good this series. Yes he stopped all whopping 17 shots last night, but why was he sleeping in OT - O'Reilly wasn't that far away? I'd say at least equally to blame.....
