Best day in the history of the NHL will be....T

He's just to inconsistent for me. He'll let stuff fly and then decide to call a tight game out of the middle of nowhere. He also seems to throw in a few extra power plays for the Wings at the end when he's given them too many penalties.

There were quite a few very questionable calls in this game for both teams. Then, like you said, he seemingly let everything go out of nowhere. It's not just McCreary though, the officiating in the NHL has been inconsistent ever since the lockout.

I thought the only bad thing about tonight was calling a few things too inconsistantly. Both of the instances that you could ***** about were times that should not have been goals. The first one was frozen for long enough to be a whistle, the second was a bit of an early whistle but there was not even a conclusive angle that would have made it a goal. There weren't any huge issues like the high stick in game 1, so in that sense it might have even been above-par officiating today.

McCreary is one of the best officials in the league. He does a great job of letting the players play and talking to them rather than just calling penalties. He doesn't lose control of games.

The whistle may have been a bit quick on the Bert no-goal at the end of the game, but that would have only made it a 4-3 game. I hope the Wings are looking in the mirror rather than at the officiating after this one.

Like I said they all make mistakes, but McCreary is horribly inconsistent. Even when it's not a Wings game it's like he's on a roller coaster for the whole game. One minute this is a textbook penalty the next minute a player from the other team does the exact same thing with no call.
