If the Mule shows, we win...
No Mule... No next round.
Exactly.
Franzen has been the X-Factor in the early rounds of the playoffs and he NEEDS TO BE THAT PLAYER AGAIN if they are to advance. Teams focus all their efforts on shutting down Zetterberg and Datsyuk leaving Franzen to fly under the radar a little bit. I think he needs to be on a line by himself (i.e. without Z and D) to throw off Phoenix's defensive concentration.

detroit wins out. no question.

We'll win the next one because we have to. Game 5 because we're better and Game 6 because this team learned how much it sucks not to put an opponent away at home.
Why am I a fan of the Detroit Red Wings?

Someone better wake him up and let him know the playoffs started without him...he's been floating out there.

Um...this is rather routine. Look how quickly 3 wins pile up.
Game 4: Wings win, even the series.
Game 5: Wings ride momentum to a win.
Game 6: Due to two losses in a row (which is routine in playoffs), Phoenix panicks and loses Game 6.
So yes, it's entirely possible.
I never said it wasn't possible, I said that there is no reason to think it will happen at this point. It's possible that death rays from Mars will kill the Coyotes in their sleep but I wouldn't bet on it.

I still think Wings in 6, and if they lose tomorrow, I'll say Wings in 7.
Hear, hear!
I say Wings in 6, because if it turns out to be 'Yotes in 5, this means I'd be stuck driving all the way to western Indiana for my horrible cousin's horrible wedding the day after an elimination loss. And my Red Wings would never do that to me. They are the Heroes of Hockeytown, after all.
ETA: And Western Indiana is where Blackhawk fans are! Can you imagine the suck of going into that the day after an elimination?!?

You won't have to worry about it, because it is not going to happen. Wings in 6!

Hopefully I'm wrong, but the Wings just look out of gas to me. Lots of hockey over the past few years. I think they're a better team than Phoenix but they just don't have the drive necessary this year.
Coyotes in 7.
sadly i agree with you

Also maybe
Mule-Z-Pav
Bert-Fil-Homer
Eaves-Helm-Cleary
Draper-Abby-Miller
I'm not sure. I just think that there is some hidden chemistry with the players who haven't really gotten the chance to play with each-other on the same line.
Of course re-uniting the ZDH line could work

I live in Chicago. It's awful after any kind of wings loss, let alone an elimination. You guys get to go to work and all feel bad together. I go to work and hear, "Wings suck!" all day.

If Howie gives up another softie at a bad time and stays in, Phoenix in 6.
If Howie holds tight and plays well, Wings in 6.

If Howard gives up another soft, badly timed goal, and Babcock goes to Ozzie, then Wings in 6.

In only Hudler were here! Then we'd have won in three!
