That's hilarious CBC just showed the rules DVD, and put the NHL on the spot. I hate this league with a passion if it was not for the wings, I may not care for NHL hockey.

No, rules *shouldn't* change because it's the playoffs. But they do. Penalties don't get called quite as closely is usually the only thing, but this year they decided to change the definition of "distinct kicking motion." I've seen that goal count before, and I know you have too.

I've seen plenty of goals, but this was not a goal.

I don't know why I'm surprised that the series in the West are all close while the series in the East are all blowouts at this point.

Outside of routing for the Caps and whatever team is playing against s***sburg, I couldnt care less about any team in the east. However, im afraid that which ever team comes out of the east is going to beat the crap out of the western team in the finals. I feel that by the time the finals comes around, who ever makes it out of the west is going to be so tired and beat down, they are going to get killed in the finals.

And you ask why for the Pittsburgh hate? Because Pittsburgh has benefited from the inconsistencies twice in this game alone.

CBC showed the rules DVD, given to the officials showing that a goal like that is a good goal. That was not a distinct kicking motion. I don't get how it has dropped this far to where angling your skate while stopping is a kick.

The ref should have just called it intent to blow the whistle. That seems like an officiating "get out of jail free" card.

I remember somebody mentioning that they should change the rule so that you can't lift the skate or else it's a kicking motion... if your blade stays on the ground, then it's good.

i don't know how easy that would be to have an accident though
