Compared to most of the referees, I wouldn't take anything less. Agreed. O'Halloran does seems to make some pretty boneheaded calls when officiating a Detroit game, but in watching other games he is pretty objective and for the large part hands off. But then again we aren't exactly objective... McCreary is never a bad choice... McCreary is the best official in the NHL. Largely hands off and gets a lot of the calls right.
