Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) He's Canadian, so that doesn't count as an NBA injury. From the Oscar-worthy performances I saw during the Lakers/Celtics Game 2, Sidney Crosby would make an excellent basketball player. Manoir 70 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 With today's modern technology why can't they measure the exact number of people watching a channel rather than estimating based on people who have that box?
Opie 308 Report post Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Beating the NBA in ratings has become the equivalent of beating a deaf kid in musical chairs! Unfortunately the NHL doesn't know what a chair is yet! Seriously the NBA's ratings are going down badly, year after year. Scandals, the soap opera aspect of FA's all that other crap, the NBA is struggling. ON the other hand glad to see the NHL ratings rise, for what the third year in a row? Edited June 9, 2010 by Opie

Ratings were solid throughout the playoffs and Wednesday’s deciding game scored the highest American ratings in 36 years. The audience of 8.28 million was 43 per cent higher than last year’s Game 6 and just behind the all-time U.S. record of 8.29 million set in 1974. The game’s 4.7 rating pales in comparison to the 11.5 overnight number posted by ABC during Sunday’s NBA final, but it’s still a huge leap forward for the NHL. ... ...In Canada, CBC reports that an average of 4 million Canadians watched the final, the highest ever for an all-American matchup. Add to that more than 100,000 live streaming views and you’ve got a pretty big number. The 3.1 million average for the final series was the highest in six years. ...
