So I was thinking, of all the teams in the NHL, Detroit is one of the few to have so many lifers. Yzerman, Lidstrom, most likely Z, Dats and Franzen, as well as many others.

Of the young players on our team, or going to be on our team, who do you think is likely to be a Wing for the Rest of their career?

Remember, only players that were DRAFTED here count. Even if Eaves stays with us, it's not the same as a draft pick.

For me, I'd say, we'll be holding on to Smith and Tatar for sure.

I'm a Nyquist fan. He just keeps getting better every year. I have pretty high hopes for Lashoff as well.

If Helm performs well for the next two seasons, I could see him being a lifer as well.

Don't forget about the d! Ericsson!
I agree with Bowman, he will be a Top-2 dman, just wait for it.
But my most coveted thing is a high self-esteem
And a low tolerance for them telling me how to lean
See the most important parts are the ones that are unseen
The Wings don't make you fly and the Crown don't make you king
Now God don't like ugly, ain't too happy bout pretty
I am ignorance's enemy so stay out of the vicinity of...

When did Bowman say that Ericsson will be a Top-2 dman?

I agree with the consensus: Tatar will be a lifer here, as well as Smith and maybe Mursak.

My mistake. Scotty said top 4. But I still think he will be playing on the 1st line.

I think Abdelkader and Helm will be, too, I didn't include them originally because I wasn't sure if they counted as "Red Wings of the future" since they are already, technically Red Wings.

I'm sorry, I did include players that ARE currently with us, but don't have lifetime contracts... yet.
