Tampa leading 3-1 after 2. Only goal scored by DRW was Coetzee (assisted by Tatar). Jordan Pearce in net for the Wings.... he faced 22 shots and allowed 3 of them.

Tampa Bay takes a 3-1 lead on a James Wright wrist shot over the glove of Detroit goalie Jordan Pearce at 7:26 of period two.

Update: This game has a "nasty edge" ::

At the end of period one, the Lightning & Red Wings are tied at 1-1. Shots favor Detroit 11-8 in a very up-tempo game with lots of hitting.

The referees are letting them play...Nasty edge to this one.

Its obvious the Wings prospects are just messing with the TBL prospects right now, they are going to have at least a 4 goal 3rd period and Pearce might let one in just to be nice.

What a lucky guess on my part! Seems like our prospects are unbeatable when they are on their game. I cant wait to read all the post game reports.

Also, I have my eyes on Macek. This guy is the prospect I would consider a dark horse behind Adam Almqvist. Tons of offensive skill and potential. I would consider him a steal in the draft, this kid is going to do awesome this year.

Looks like someone unleashed the Red Wings Jr squad, because they are dominating shots on goal so far in this period 13-3.

Going to overtime-

Wings outshot Tampa 40-28. Looks like DRWs had a horrible 2nd period and rallied in the 3rd by scoring 2 goals to tie up the game and outshooting their opponent 19-6 in the 3rd.

So is Tatar potentially a top three forward? This kid is producing regardless of the competition.

I'm not an expert on him, but from what I've read (sort of scattershot since he joined the Wings organization here and there) he's never disappointed yet at any level he's played at, and always seems to play at an extraordinarily high level. I've heard nothing but praise from people who don't generally praise prospects. I'd say he's going to be not just a top line player, but probably the best Wing on the team at some point in his career in the NHL.
