So what do you guys think will there ever be another duo that raises so many heated topics of discussions like that of Crosby/Ovechkin?

who will be the Crosby/Ovechkin of this year? Thinking about it I always ask myself why do i REALLY hate Crosby besides the fact that he acted like a baby his 1st season and continues to do so, maybe he did it to himself? I definitely miss those battles he had with Darien Hatcher in philly too bad pronger can't do the same. but honestly think about this one will you ever hate another up and coming player like crosby or ovechkin? maybe it was just a one time thing i'd love some reasonable feedback from you guys and pick your guys' brain at this topic thanks guys.

I hate Patrick Kane... with the same disdain that most LGW'er have for Crosby. Crosby, although a whiner, is an eff'ing amazing hockey player. I've seen him live and he is all he is hyped to be! Kane to me is a turd... he can play hockey but his mouth and attitude ruin him.

I'll second that. I actually hate Kane more than Crosby...Or at least almost as much.

Kane is definitely more unlikeable than Crosby.

I don't think Hall/Seguin will come even 1/4 as close or big as the Ovechkin/Crosby "rivalry" is.

Agreed, The playoff mullet trumps the Crostache in terms of douchebaggery.

Just give the media the chance to make it a rivalry. If Seguin plays this year, there will be a game by game analysis between the 2. It's all part of the NHL's new youth movement thing. The one that says if you're over 26, you're old and slow.

As much as I'm sure the media will hype it if they both play in the NHL this season, I just can't see Taylor Hall vs. Tyler Seguin being anywhere near as intriguing a rivalry as Sid vs. Ovie. Like them or hate them, you cannot deny their talent, and as different as their styles are, they are generally considered to be co-favorites for the Hart and Ross trophies every year and likely will be for the foreseeable future. Only time will tell if either Hall or Seguin can become that type of player, but to me they both seem very vanilla, sure they're talented but neither of them strike me as being very exciting to watch, at least not to the degree of Crosby or Ovechkin, or even Patrick Kane, Steven Stamkos, or John Tavares for that matter.

Also, I wholeheartedly second the motion that the playoff mullet is many times worse than the Crosby molestache. Kane just looked like a total white-trash loser, and he acts like one too, fitting.

a player recently drafted that i hate with a passion...jack johnson. he's got that stupid s*** eating grin after laying a cheap shot on someone and he can't take a hit himself without getting hurt. he can dish it out but can't take it. *******.

crosby's a huge whiner, but he's amazing. can't deny that. but i ******* hate malkin. he should not be a centre. he floats all game waiting for the puck to end up on his stick...go get it yourself you lazy prick.

i like stamkos. there's a player that shuts his mouth and pots 51 to tie for the rocket. good kid.

as for hall vs. seguin...let's wait to see if seguin plays for the B's this year. then we can start the comparisons when they both play Reg season games against full NHL line-ups
