Pretty cool read about short-handed goals, too. http://www.thegoodpoint.com/hockey/jan11/the-art-of-the-short-handed-goal.html Doesn't mention they're the best of all time. Legendary forward penalty killing tandems such as the Red Wings' Kris Draper/Kirk Maltby and Canadiens' Doug Jarvis/Bob Gainey did not necessarily become renowned for netting short-handed markers, rather for putting a halt to their antagonists' pressure. Fairly decent article though

The topic is shorthanded goals and it mentions Draper and Maltby as a tandem who didn't really score a lot. Doesn't say anything about them being the top penalty killers of all time. Is this your article....just trying to bring attention to it?
T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted January 5, 2011 Good read, thanks for posting it, and an excelent contribution for your first post at LGW. Of course we all know Drapes and Malts were legnedary penalty killers, but I had no idea who had what as far as short handed goals, and am somewhat suprised at the list. Welcome to the forum and look forward to your future contributions.
