"Return to Hockeytown" 97/98 Wings Video?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm just wondering if anyone has a link to steam/download the classic "Return to Hockeytown" video covering the '97/98 season?

I haven't watched it in years and I'm interested in watching it again!

There are a few clips on Youtube, but not the whole thing.

Brings back a lot of memories from my childhood.

**EDIT: Actually, I'm looking for "Hockeytown: Detroit Red Wings 1996-97 NHL Championship Season"

A couple years ago on Amazon I bout a 4 DVD set which included Hockeytown, Return to Hockeytown, and Hockeytown 3: Red Alert. Also had about 4 or 5 famous Red Wings games and a featurette about the Wings.

I would highly recommended purchasing this if you can find it.

Found it. The description is vague, but this is definitely it. Look at the user comments below to get a full description of what is on each disc.

Here it is:

This is a must have for every Red Wings fan. I must have watched the Yzerman OT win against The Blues, from the blueline 100 times since I bought the dvd set. That and Fight Night at The Joe on 3-26-97. Can you burn a hole in a dvd from watching it too much????

And, yeah I still have the VHS versions of 97, 98, and 2002.

I have that DVD set, and it is great to have. I usually watch it when I get that hockey itch during the off season, brings back good memories.

I also have that set. Worth its weight in gold. If you're lucky you might find it at Best Buy. I've seen it there before.

Amazing box set. Bugs me that the 1998 SCF game 2 isn't on that, but hey, they have some greats on there.

@zombi,

I just noticed you're from dearborn heights.

last time I was at the value world thrift store on evergreen and ann arbor trail, they had two copies of the 96-97 stanley cup VHS, the exact thing you're looking for, except in outdated formats thumbup.gif

there was also a copy at the DAV thrift store on middlebelt just north of warren not too long ago.

they're a buck each at both locations.

last time i was at the DAV they had a bunch of don cherry vhs tapes too.
