zombi 43 Report post Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone has a link to steam/download the classic "Return to Hockeytown" video covering the '97/98 season? I haven't watched it in years and I'm interested in watching it again! There are a few clips on Youtube, but not the whole thing. Brings back a lot of memories from my childhood. **EDIT: Actually, I'm looking for "Hockeytown: Detroit Red Wings 1996-97 NHL Championship Season" Edited January 22, 2011 by zombi

hooon 1,089 Report post Posted January 22, 2011 A couple years ago on Amazon I bout a 4 DVD set which included Hockeytown, Return to Hockeytown, and Hockeytown 3: Red Alert. Also had about 4 or 5 famous Red Wings games and a featurette about the Wings. I would highly recommended purchasing this if you can find it. Found it. The description is vague, but this is definitely it. Look at the user comments below to get a full description of what is on each disc. Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/Detroit-Red-Wings-Celebration-Champions/dp/B0002WZRUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295673565&sr=8-

I must have watched the Yzerman OT win against The Blues, from the blueline 100 times since I bought the dvd set. That and Fight Night at The Joe on 3-26-97. Can you burn a hole in a dvd from watching it too much???? And, yeah I still have the VHS versions of 97, 98, and 2002.

Bugs me that the 1998 SCF game 2 isn't on that, but hey, they have some greats on there.

Detroit40oz 21 Report post Posted January 23, 2011 @zombi, I just noticed you're from dearborn heights. last time I was at the value world thrift store on evergreen and ann arbor trail, they had two copies of the 96-97 stanley cup VHS, the exact thing you're looking for, except in outdated formats there was also a copy at the DAV thrift store on middlebelt just north of warren not too long ago. they're a buck each at both locations. last time i was at the DAV they had a bunch of don cherry vhs tapes too.
