SweWings 45 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Happened in today's play-off game between Järnkrok's Brynäs and Färjestad: From Aftonbladet: Brynäs nightmare- star injured "The shaft is out of joint" Here are the pictures that may Brynäs fans to shake. The team's big star, super talent Calle Iron Hook, was forced to leave the game against Färjestad by extension. According to TV4 19-year-old's shoulder dislocated. Calle Iron Hook turned the boards and had his face away from the ice when Marius Holtet came along. Färjestad player tackled the 19-year-old against the board and took the blow badly. Iron Hook was lying on the ice in pain and was helped out of the stall by fellow players. According to TV4, the 19-year-old is likely to hit the shoulder out of joint. "Reading what Calle to do" Rigging was still waived by the team awards. Right think TV4's expert Leif Boork. - I like to read what Holtet Calle do and take him where he should turn up. There is no greater momentum in the rigging but bounces against the board can cause damage, says Boork. Patrik Sjögren Posting this because: 1. It's relevant to our interests. 2. The translation is hilarious, including the fact that Google automatically translated Järnkrok into Iron Hook! 3. And because Järnkrok has apparently become a super talent. He isn't bad at all but a super talent?

Nevermind 363 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Jarnkrok certainly has 1st round talent. The problem is that he's got 4th round size. Jarnkrok was still drafted in the second round. So I guess that means Datsyuk and Zetterberg had 'undrafted size' then? I'm not saying he's going to be anywhere near as good as Pavel or Z. But, he's only 19 and has plenty of time to put on some weight. It sounds like he has good hockey sense though--which is by far the most important thing. Remember Pavs and Z both were kinda of late bloomers. Even Z had his first 50+ point season when he was 25/26.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Jarnkrok certainly has 1st round talent. The problem is that he's got 4th round size. Cause Zetterberg and Datsyuk were huge when they were drafted. If Tatar can put 20+ pounds of muscle on over a summer, I'm highly confident Iron Hook can too, on top of adding more size. Not to mention, Hudler has the worst size of all, and he can't skate, Jarnkrok can skate and has great skills too. He'll be fine.
Guest Heaten Report post Posted March 12, 2011 I was afraid to look at this thread thinking the worse. He'll heal up just fine. I'm excited about Jarnkrok and Nyquist. I'm thinking Sheahan will be a player that will be average then 'boom', become a Franzen type story where he realizes he's a goal scorer. I'm not too excited about Tatar and Smith. I want Smith to be like a Weber, but I see him more as a Kronwall.

I would be more than satisfied if one day Smith could be like Kronwall is now. A reliable top 4 offensive defenseman who could fill top 2 role of one needs. Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted March 13, 2011 Terrible news. I loved watching him play in the WJC, looked like a gem. Hopefully he doesn't take too long to reocver and this doesn't hurt his confidence in the long-term.
