Mabuhay Red Wings 177 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 Those two are insanely competitive with each other. That gives Daniel 3 kids while Henrik only has 1. Correct me on this one if necessary-I've always had the perception that Henrik was the better player even though Daniel has more points I think? Or at least, a higher career ppg average than Henrik. Hamhuis 1 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 I can't quote cause im on my iPhone but I'm replying to mabuhay, when they were drafted they said Daniel was more a complete player and I agree, after watching them every game for years I would say Daniel is slightly better, but just. The reason henrik is captain is because he had more leadership, says everyone in the liked room so they both bring different things to the table so I can't really tell you

Isn't it possible that Henrik would have more points?

Hamhuis 1 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 Umm well we can never really know because ones a natural winger and the other center lol. And the thing about manny is possible very serious, his hockey career could possible be over.
DatsyukianDekes 2,428 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 Manny is a faceoff beast. I remember him absolutely destroying the Wings last year in the playoffs. Hope he gets better and can still play, I wish the Wings signed him in the off season.
Jocke 53 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Wow! Jeopardizing the Art Ross for a baby.. Those two are insanely competitive with each other. That gives Daniel 3 kids while Henrik only has 1. Correct me on this one if necessary-I've always had the perception that Henrik was the better player even though Daniel has more points I think? Or at least, a higher career ppg average than Henrik. Actually, when asked by the Swedish press, they both agreed that Daniel had always been the better player of the two. Will H.Sedin be able to find the Ice with out him???? J/K I think Henrik had exactly 1 ppg in the games Daniel missed last season. Edited March 21, 2011 by Jocke

Malhotra is done for the season and playoffs. http://www.theprovince.com/news/Malhotra+miss+remainder+season+including+playoffs/4479760/story.html Danny Sedin may still join the team by Wednesday in Detroit. And the thing about manny is possible very serious, his hockey career could possible be over. I thought Daniel used to play center. I mean, yeah, he was probably really young but still. I don't know if I'd call him a natural winger. Actually, when asked by the Swedish press, they both agreed that Daniel had always been the better player of the two. I'm actually surprised by this a little bit. Ah well.
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 I'm actually surprised by this a little bit. Ah well. Henrik has always been the Dean Martin to Daniel's Jerry Lewis. One provides the set-up - the other provides the punch line. If Danny hadn't been injured last year he more than likely would have beat out his brother for the Art Ross and Hart. sleepwalker 512 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 I don't think its fair to let Henrik and Daniel play together until all the other players in the NHL are able to have their brains uploaded with psychic-twin chemistry as well.

Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 I know Rick Rypien recently got back on the ice for the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. Hopefully he works his way back into the NHL. Maybe he could get in the lineup for Vancouver's playoff run?
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) I know Rick Rypien recently got back on the ice for the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. Hopefully he works his way back into the NHL. Maybe he could get in the lineup for Vancouver's playoff run? Rypien was a scratch in a lot of the games last playoffs and even with Malhotra out the Canucks are still considerably deeper at forward this year than they were last year. If anyone gets a call-up for the playoffs I expect it will be Cody Hodgson. It could be just what the kid needs to shine and show his stuff after all he's been through. T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 I don't think its fair to let Henrik and Daniel play together until all the other players in the NHL are able to have their brains uploaded with psychic-twin chemistry as well. The scary part is, Henrik's performance last season while Daniel was out makes a strong arguement for putting them on two seperate lines and spreading out the threat. Canucks GM mike Gillis is always talking about how Detroit is the Gold Standard Benchmark, and he is emulating what they do. Vancouver is dangerous.
