WorkingOvertime 536 Report post Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) Tardif has nothing to offer at the NHL level. His skill level is less than Millers, and he fights worse than Abdelkader. No thanks. Really? EDIT- Tardif is definitely a better/more willing fighter than Abby. I don't think you will find many of the fights fans here will say otherwise. Also, Tardif plays a solid game. I don't think he would be out of place playing with any fourth line in the league. With that said, I don't think anyone (certainly not me) was saying he should play above Miller, Eaves, Mursak, etc. IMO he deserves the black ace experience because of his dedication to the team. Also, if somehow (I hope this doesn't happen) a spot on the fourth needs to be filled- meaning Mursak, Draper, Miller, Emmerton have been used- than I might prefer Tardif to Tatar. While Tatar certainly is more skilled, Tardif may be a better fit for a fourth line role on the Wings. Edited April 7, 2011 by WorkingOvertime
MulesWillFly93 199 Report post Posted April 8, 2011 I'm gonna get on board with Mursak and Tatar for sure, and then even though I personally would like to give Smith a shot, I think Janik's actually going to end up getting the call.
shaeb30 10 Report post Posted April 8, 2011 I would LOVE to see Ilari Filppula get in there. Francis Pare, Jamie Tardif, Brendan Smith, Jan Mursak, Cory Emmerton, Joey Mac, Jordan Pearce, Derek Meech are all safe bets, and maybe even a guy like Jamie Johnson or Chris Minard.
