CBC is saying they have the games. But they also have Penguins-Lightning, so guess who's going to get the Crosby end of the stick for game one?

Knowing CBC's programming decisions in the past, they probably only show Det-Phx G1 to the Winnipeg market.

I (like most fans here) don't live in Detroit.

ah ok but, how do you watch the majority of the regular season games then (the games that aren't on us national tv)?

originally when you said it's not being televised i thought you meant on fsd.

FSD has carried the games in the past. Give them a couple days to release their schedule. The game is going to be televised for those of us in MI. :)

ok that's what i thought.

Yea this is definitely on FSD if you live in Michigan. I wouldn't say most members here don't live in Michigan. We should do a poll... :sly:

I hate that we are playing Phoenix, because all the freakin' games are blacked out here in Utah, (Utah is considered local area for Phoenix here, yeah right.)

Last year i missed all the games, but one, because I found a stream. Center Ice is useless because of the Blackouts. BTW, Phoenix games are NEVER televised here locally.

I still like this schedule. There are a couple days off between Game 1 and 2. Very fair.

I agree. Seems to be very fair. I remember when they rushed the Pen\Detroit final games so that NBC could air them on certain days and it was unfair to the Wings that had some injuries that would have benefited from the normal resting time.

Pretty sure that two of the seven games last year against Phoenix were Versus exclusive games and FSD couldn't show them.

You're right, except I think one of the VS televised games (I can't remember if it was in the first or second round) was also on FSD, which was good because I wanted to listen to Ken and Mick instead of whoever was doing the VS feed.

There are tons of Wings games televised on Versus, NHL Network and NBC. The others that I feel like watching, I'll watch through streams online.

Possibly, but lucky for us they are not that STUPID!

Right it's not like they are ran by the same people at NBC who cut away from OT of a playoff game so they can show the pre...pre-coverage of horse racing.

Oh wait......

I've been meaning to ask Canada folks. How the hell does CBC pull off showing 2 games at once? Is there another CBC (CBC2?) that shows up at playoff time? I know TSN has 2 channels so they shouldn't have a problem with games overlapping there. For Versus the later games are usually JIP when the early one ends, but these 2 games start at the same time.

Maybe they'll be unavailing new technology that will involve split screen :D

It's frustrating. Somehow CBC thinks that it's okay to show a game to half the country and another game to the other half. I live in western Canada so I'll be getting the Wings games but anyone in Ontario and further east will be getting the s***ty Pittsburgh games (I think ).

Personally I'd like to watch as many playoff games as possible but this overlapping of games on the same network doesn't make any sense to me.
