Anyone else outside of Detroit with Center Ice know what is going to happen with the Wings game since the Caps vs. Rangers is going to run into it ?

I'm not sure what to think. People seem to have this idea that if Phoenix loses tonight we will get the Winnipeg Jets back.

That's not necessarily true at all. Of course the Canadian media is pimping this idea beyond belief. Jets are good for ratings and newspapers. Who the heck would buy a paper with the headline "Coyotes are staying!"?

I'm just afraid they are setting us up for more disappointment.

According to my friend in Glendale, their news reported that Bettman called into a show in Toronto staying that the Coyotes aren't leaving Phoenix until the deal with Hultzer is dead, which it is not. They are also reporting that Hultzer will be at the game tonight, which they think is a sign that things are still in the works. Of course they want to keep the team there and I don't believe anything that Bettman says anymore about the move, will just have to wait for the official announcement.

If Pheonix goes to Winnipeg, does Detroit go to the Eastern Conference ?

Phoenix is in the West, Winnipeg is in the West. Nothing changes. You might have to re-structure the divisions though. It wouldn't make much sense to have Dallas and Winnipeg in the pacific division....

I know TV scheduling in the playoffs won't allow it, but always wanted to see the following for a Eastern Time Zone VS. Pacific Time Zone game:

Eastern time game starts at 8:30 local (5:30 Pacific)

Pacific time game starts at 6:30 local (9:30 Pacific)

I think it would work great during the regular season when networks aren't lined up to show an early and late game. That way our games don't start at 4:00 for them, and their games don't start at 10:30pm for us.
