Wings Getting No Help This Playoffs!

Though it is funny how you used the Wings' 4 recent Cup wins to highlight why the Wings do not have what it takes to go all the way, ironically versus 3 teams that have never won a Cup.

Well in all 4 of their cup runs the Wings have received some help in the form of another team getting upset and thus gave them an easier matchup but with both San Jose and now Vancouver about to advance our Cup chances appear to be done!

Now this year with drawing the Sharks in the second round it appears even if they somehow manage to get by the Sharks they will have nothing left for the Canucks and all their speed. So basically I don't forsee them getting out of the Western Conference b/c they needed either both or 1 of Vancouver or San Jose to bite the dust but instead they are basically screwed.

If you think so, then perhaps you should just stop watching now.

That said, this is one of the most ridiculous posts I've ever read.

I'm hoping this is a joke.

I'm glad we're playing the Sharks. Everyone points out that the Sharks beat us last year. Sure, that's very true. But everyone makes it sound like neither team has changed at all. Last year, we were a lower seeded team, who struggled to beat Phoenix, and we were out of gas just getting through round one. To go up against the Sharks, and their offense, we were overwhelmed.

This year, we're well rested, and the weak links (Lebda and Williams especially) have been replaced with better players. The Sharks also allowed Nabby to walk, in favour of the Nitty/Niemi combo. Neither one of those goalies are game-changers, and both make Bryzgalov's play from round 1 look like Roy in his prime.
