I would be quite alright with bringing him on board if we could unload E, I was rather impressed by his play in the Van series and while a lot of people will point to him as having the turnover that cost the series I remember hearing his name A LOT. If we can get him for a decent price I think his stock is on the rise.

as far as that turnover goes, Lilja had two in the playoffs for us - one that cost us the playoffs, and we got over that eventually.

He's not nearly as bad as some people claim he is, but we really just don't need him at all. He doesn't bring anything that we don't already have.

Lilja was probably the person most responsible for the Wings losing game six against the Oilers in '06. He also almost gift-wrapped a goal for Pitt in game two of '08, and he gave them the 5v3 in game four of that series.

He really wasn't a very good player.
