I can't recall right now, but they're basically the same team, aren't they?

They lost Michael Ryder and Tomas Kaberle, and acquired Joe Corvo to replace Kaberle. Not like Ryder was as valuable offensively as Crosby or anything, but I think he was very underrated. Wing Across The Pond 196 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 In a strange way, I think that if you keep playing, say 2 games a week, you'd be in a better position to continue doing well. It sounds weird but after a long grueling season, where you go the distance and win it all, an off-season break with lots of rest can put you in a situation where you can't get going again. Probably what's happened. They'll take some time but wont be bottom come season's end - nowhere near.

There's going to be more position flipping than normal, I think. You know Detroit won't stay below average, Boston will bounce back and make playoffs, Chicago will falter, and on and on. rrasco 1,312 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Don't forget Krejci was injured to start the season and no telling whether he is 100% at this point. They played a lot of hockey last year, lots of game sevens, I'm sure they're all fairly banged up still, to some extent. I have not seen them play this year yet, so I'm purely speculating. hooon 1,089 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 I haven't really watched them either. How has Thomas been? If he isn't playing well I can see why that team would falter a bit.
