Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 Hey guys, anyone from Windsor around? I am coming down next Friday to go to the Wings/Oilers game. Last time I stayed in Detroit, this time I think we are gonna try staying in Windsor. I heard there is a Tunnel Bus that takes you to games/events/etc. Is that true? Any tips for taking it, or other ways to get to the game? Cheers.

Gordie Howe hat trick 110 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 Yeah it drops you off at Cobo, but if you aren't from around the parts the passport control coming into the U.S. can be a *****. But overall it is a great way to get there.
newfy 695 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 The bus is the only way I go, get over there and dont have to worry about parking or paying 30 bucks for it. Theres a couple stops that you can hop on, its 4 bucks each way and drops yuo off on the other side of Cobo so you can just cut right through. Best way to get there by far in my opinion
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 I suppose all i need is my passport and my tickets to show them I am actually going to the game? I didn't have too much trouble crossing a month ago went I went to the game vs. the Sense. The guy just quizzed me a bit on who the Wings were playing, what time, and where I was staying. I guess they just wanted to make sure I was really going to the game.
Gordie Howe hat trick 110 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 Well My passport says place of birth is Illinois, and my girlfriend who was with me is from Oklahoma. So That might be why they brought us in for more questioning too.
under_par_00 45 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 All you need is your passport. Sometimes they ask to see your tickets, other times they just ask you to open up your jacket. Tunnel bus is definitely the best way to get to the game from Windsor. $8 round trip, but kind of confusing (if you're not from the area) how it will leave from the bus station, but drop you off right at downtown Windsor when you return.
