Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted December 4, 2011 Jordin Tootoo just ran Ryan Miller in the Preds/Sabres game. Tootoo got a charging major and a game misconduct. The way I see it, it is debatable whether Tootoo completely intended to run him. However, I don't think it warrants a suspension. If this doesn't send a message to the Sabres front office that they need to muscle up, I don't know what will. Second time he's got run like this. I'm sure there will be a video up soon. But if Tootoo ran Miller purposely, knowing he's coming off an injury caused by another suspension-worthy hit by another player, then Shanny should suspend Tootoo. Enough is enough. I don't mind hard-nosed hockey, I thought Vladdy was a god. But some of this pissy, chicken-s*** stuff they pass off for playing hard now is disgusting, and transparent. If you can't win through skill and hard work, and have to stoop to purposely running key players on the opposing team, then step away and give your spot on the roster to someone deserving, who will play the game the way it should be played. On the replay I saw it looked like Miller went after Tootoo so at least he's letting them know he won't put up with that. The Sabres should have started Miller last night, we wouldn't play like that. Took a bit (a bit, not much) of a shove from Erhoff on the play. The crowd was in the game from that point on. He made zero effort to avoid Miller, and this time Miller was in the blue paint. Tootoo is garbage. The league would be better if he wasn't in it. He may have started by cutting to the net but it's pretty obvious he had nowhere to go with the angle he took. As I said it's not like Miller was outside his crease. Miller needs to start going Hextall on guys since his teammates are unable to protect him. Shanny also helped make this bed when he didn't even give Lucic a fine.
