Pat 44 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) On pace to nearly double his point totals from last season, but strangely is near the bottom in team points. Link to point standings: http://lhjmq.leaguestat.com/fr/stats/statdisplay.php?type=top_scorers&subType=0&season_id=168&leagueId=1&lastActive=&singleSeason=&confId=0 He did miss about 6 or 7 games so that may have been a factor, but he looks like another great draft choice by Detroit. Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 High risk high reward, just like Tvrdon. Their risks, though, were/are different. Jurco is supposedly streakier than Franzen and lazy while Tvrdon had a major injury his draft year and no one knew how he'd play. 1 Matt reacted to this
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Jurco is fast becoming my favourite prospect. His upside is amazing, he could be a top line forward if his development goes well. He's got good size, he's a good skater and has insane hands. Some of his passes are unreal, he's a superb stickhandler and can really undress the defencemen. He's often been knocked for his inconsistency, but this season he's only gone pointless in 3 or 4 games from the 30 he's played. If he stays motivated, continues to work hard on his defensive game and adds intensity, he could be anything. Edited December 29, 2011 by Aussie_Wing

newfy 695 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 Jurcos biggest knock was consistency, now hes finding it. He could turn out to be a stud. Its hard to get excited for big numbers when hes playing in the q however

The important thing, is that he irons out the flaws in his game and keeps finding that "next level".
Casey 145 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 Jurcos biggest knock was consistency, now hes finding it. He could turn out to be a stud. Its hard to get excited for big numbers when hes playing in the q however Hard to get excited, but those are huge numbers. He's on pace for about 90 points in 60 games- that's enough to get me a bit excited about a prospect.
