Looks like Lidstrom is out. Maybe this is so Gary can't suspend him for opting out of the All Star Game again.
Just the flu though, no injury. A full week off should do Lids well.

This is a great opportunity. The Habs are awful, but the Wings will be up for the game because it's such a rare matchup, not to mention in a place so special for Babs. Thinking the Wings stomp out the Habs 5-1.

It's going to suck not having Lids but I'm glad he's getting the rest he needs. He'll have almost a week to rest so hopefully he'll be good by the time the Calgary game comes around. The Habs have been in a real slump as of late so here's to the Wings taking advantage of that even without Lidstrom. Here's to a good original six match up!

He was assistant GM in Boston, and GM of the NYI for a little while too.
