Nightfall 871 Report post Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) Too bad. I was hoping he would stick around Grand Rapids for a while. Ah well, I wish him luck! Ansar Khan@AnsarKhanMLive Philadelphia Inquirer reports MikeKnuble will sign with Flyers on Friday. He was with Grand RapidsGriffins on pro tryout contract. Sam Carchidi@BroadStBull Homer on Knuble: "He's excited tocome back. He's familiar with some of our players. There's still a fewguys left here from when he played." http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/knuble-no-longer-in-grand-rapids?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter He's headed to Philadelphia to take a physical tomorrow and if hepasses, the Flyers will sign him. The Flyers hope Knuble will helpafter Hartnell broke his foot. I don't think Knuble had a chance with the Wings this season, but if he was a defenseman, that would have been another story. Nightfall 871 Report post Posted January 25, 2013 Nice, too bad he didn't stay a bit in GR. I bet they would have loved him around there. I went to the Griffins game on Wednesday and it was awesome. Knuble has been assistant coaching for his son's team in Kentwood. He got a suite for his kids team and the parents with food and the whole nine yards. We sat just below that suite and those kids were cheering every time Knuble went out on the ice. I was hoping Knuble would have hung around Grand Rapids a bit more and played for the Griffins for the rest of the season. The fans really loved seeing him play.
