amato 3,210 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 As much as I feel bad that they got screwed like that, there is still no guarantee they would have won, and I couldn't care less if they miss they miss the playoffs by a point, especially if that point they miss it by is our point. We as wings fans are supposed to hate Nashville, but that isn't my reasoning for not caring, it's more the fact that they beat us 4-1 last year, and Rinne seems to stand on his head when they play us, so I would rather face a team like Colorado, Phoenix, or Dallas more then Nashville in the Playoffs. yeah, i agree with that for sure. i just think it'd be funny if the prednecks missed by a point after that. it would remind me of that bad NFL call from this past season. it didn't effect the NFL teams but my friend in fantasy made it to playoffs because of it and almost won it all.. but that's besides the point. of the teams you listed, i'd most want to see colorado in they playoffs.. vs. the wings. rekindle the rivalry. plus, i like duchene. toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 when the puck is traveling behind pav, i dont believe he has control. anyway the rule is, control or not, the puck must be completely over the line for it to count as on side. Not really. A player can cross the line before the puck as long as he has control of the puck. This normally happens when a player spins backwards for a second, but is clearly in control of the puck with his stick. This simply doesn't apply to the Datsyuk shot showed above, unless someone is assuming he is controlling the puck with his mind.

It would be funny if colorodo beat out nashville for a playoff spot because of that goal though lol
shoobiedoobin 138 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) And remember folks, these refs are infallible. They're protected by the league and no one is to question them, lest they receive a hefty fine. We've got refs who flat out miss the most obvious calls. We've got refs who admit to hating a city and ref their games consistently and make terrible calls while doing it. We've got officials who constantly favor one team or another in big scenarios. We've got make-up calls, reputation calls and all kinds of bulls***. And we can't even review this crap. The credibility of hockey to me has taken a small dive every year. Last year watching LA get away with murder against PHO almost killed my interest permanently. Edited February 19, 2013 by shoobiedoobin

Best of all, any reviewed plays are done in a secret dark office in far away Toronto. Because that doesn't scream suspicious at all.
