HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 Me and 3 buddies are planning on going to Detroit for the game against Minnesota in April. We are all 22 so we don't have a lot of money to go all out so figured you guys could help us! None of us have been to Detroit in a long time so we don't remember a single thing. Where is the best hotel with reasonable price close to the rink? Also we are planning on bringing food along with us to try and keep some of the cost down but where are a couple bars/restaurants/places to check out. Obviously Hockeytown Café but anywhere else? We will only be there for 3 or 4 days max. Thanks!
jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 Slows is relatively cheap for the quality, Also. If you want cheap lodging and you'd feel safe in relative slums, stay just outside of the city in one of the cheap motels. Or you could head north of detroit, into macomb, or near Bloomfield and get a decent hotel for > $100. Seriously dude, if you see a hotel just outside the city for too cheap to believe prices, you can always message me and I'll try to drive by and let you know how it looks. vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 "Reasonable" is a relative term. I would suggest you do a landmark search at a booking site like hotels.com or expedia. There are 3 hotels within spitting distance of the Joe, but I don't think you're going to get one for less than 150. There's also the casinos, but again, probably not less than 150 - 200. You can always look though.
