Excited to see what the kid can do at the next level. He already doesnt seem to be the headcase Mrazek was.

I'm not sure about the headcase part, but from everything I've seen and read, he's much more poised, less erratic between the pipes than Mrazek. I was a big Mrazek fan, still am, but I'd prefer a goaltender that plays smarter, wastes less energy, relies more on positioning, rather than raw athleticism.

Mrazek looks much less erratic in goal this year. He's more focused and relaxed, not overplaying shots, playing his angles well. Maybe he just needed that kick in the ass that came with signing for less than half of his previous salary to be the backup (at the time) in Carolina. Last chance to dance.

He had unreal numbers in the USHL, I kinda expected those numbers to take a hit in college, but they didn't really at all. Unreal college numbers as well. Let's accelerate him through the system and ruin him just like Mrazek I say.

Well, Mrazek accelerated himself. Basically went from junior to Detroit in three seasons with a Calder Cup win in the first and split the third between GR and Detroit. Don't see that often.
