Look at our powerplay, otherwise. Babcock went out to find new coaches for a new style because things weren't working, well quite frankly... we probably won't see their potential until a year or two in the NHL.

Our special teams are the laughing stock of the whole NHL.  If we give them a chance to see their "potential" Im gonna look for a new sport to watch in the winter, snow shoeing  is pretty exciting compared to our power play..

I hate to say this but it has become apparent that Mr Babcock has probably just worn out his welcome.

The stats say that other than a select few head coaches, such as Scotty, coaches tenured longer than 4 years dont win cups.  Looks as though that may be true with Babs as well.

Came to mind talking with Crimson about the team and became very apparent that our guys just dont hear him the same way anymore.  The players have a personal relationship with Babs the same way teenagers have with their parents.  Both know that even if they get yelled at they know that the consequences are pretty hollow.  The rest of the time they just dont care.

We all know that some organizations tend to replace coaches on a daily basis, we arent the Canadians or the Leafs, but look how effective it was with STL.  Hitch came in and it was night and day from word go.

I seriously think that we need leadership more than we need a new team.  The talent is there, the coaches are there to coax it from them and Babs & Co. just dont seem to be able to do that.

Pane is down right ruthless



I forgot how nasty an attack it was on Janet Gretzky.  It was so bad Getzky had an upper body injury from the play.  

We have to remember this was the old NHL when hits to the head were considered acceptable

Lets not forget about Puck and his ruthless retribution.  



Puck is one of those that needs to be banned from the game altogether.  Just a few months ago Puck broke Nickys ankle!!  Puck has broken noses, hands and ribs.  Douglas Murray even had his Adams apple broken by Puck. If thats not reckless enough, Puck went after a fan.  Spectators should be off limits and Puck didnt care.  

If the NHL wants to get serious about injuries Puck should be the FIRST to go.

Was there a penalty? NO!

They put Puck back on the ice within 30 seconds of that hit.  What has the NHL come to????

I had to watch the game on DVR and other than severely laying back in the 3rd I think we played a pretty complete hockey game.  We played pretty close to the same as last game although it was apparent the nerves were gone.  You have to give huge ups to our PK, we are 100% against the #1 PP in the league..

We needed to split the series in Nashville and we did it.

Now its Hockeytown time!!!  If we get that record streak magic back we have this series locked by Tuesday god willing.

Im sticking with my prediction that we win it at the JLA (wings in 6)

It has been ruled that Pane violated Rule 48

48.1 Illegal Check to the Head – A hit resulting in contact with  an opponent's head where the head is targeted and the principal point of  contact is not permitted. However, in determining whether such a hit  should have been permitted, the circumstances of the hit, including  whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position immediately  prior to or simultaneously with the hit or the head contact on an  otherwise legal body check was avoidable, can be considered.

It is determined that although Krejci put himself in a vulnerable postition by standing on the ice and not being aware of Pane, Panes hit illegally targeted the head and made it the principal point of contact.

Other factors taken into consideration were:

Pane has a history of injury including a hit on Wayne Gretzky's wife

The principal point of contact was the head

The hit was sustained after the end of the game

It is ruled that Pane will be replaced for the remainder of this playoff series.

After the ruling, Shanahan said that Pane, : was all broken up about the hit and wishes it could have kept itself together but it just got pushed a little too far".

I want George Parros, Matt Martin, and Brandon Prust next year, that is all.

And I thought we had issues with penalties now....
