Very happy with the way our guys are playing, just had some bad bounces go preds way and there is nothing a person can do about that. They know how important this one is, and I believe nashville will now get to see how awesome a team Detroit really is. It's time for a classic wing blow out over these assholes. 5-0 Wings, Jimmy with a stellar performance.
Finish our checks, keep the net cleared, stay out of the box and putting the puck on net in any situation is never a bad idea. Lets get it back for Helmsy boys.
I am currently looking up flights to Detroit. Been a wings fan my whole life and I have never been to Detroit as I live in B.C. Would kill someone (weber) to see the wings play live and meet some true Wings fans in HOCKEYTOWN. Also never had the thrill of seeing a playoff game live.
I don't think it's possible for Helm's injury to be intentional. It's really bad news not having him play, but no way could that have been on purpose. Having said that, I agree Cleary looked fired up and I was very happy for him that he felt good enough to lay it out there.
I agree on all of the above. And as for Rinne being infallible, our boyz proved otherwise. Both Wings' goals were GOOD ones and totally non-flukey; and the traffic around his net was mostly great. I also agree we can definitely win tomorrow night. AND Sunday.
GO, RED WINGS!!
Not sure if you're talking about my little rant but when I said slash I didn't mean the slash on Helmsy, I meant the nice slash across the back of the legs to Datsyuk from gaustad while webber was trying to clean that smudge off the glass with Zetterbergs face.
Another regular season left in the past,
The playoffs are upon us, it's rough and it's fast.
We fought through adversity, pushed through the pain, (injuries)
Oh yah baby!!!! we're in it again. (playoffs)
Now the real hockey starts, the power and skill,
Every red wing gladiator with their iron will.
From Pavels stick to Howards glove,
Our team stands tall when push comes to shove.
Around the league teams tremble with fear,
The big red machine revs up its engine and shifts into gear.
In the end there is pride and glory,
Liddy's hoisting the cup.
A perfect ending to this years playoff story.
I love that Cleary has the never say die attitude like others have mentioned here, but with his knee only being 50% he will be even slower than he already was. What is Babcock thinking? We must have someone that can come up in his place, and if we don't, then what was Holland thinking knowing about this injury before trade deadline?
Someone needs to slap Berts and his mule before the game so they can start this game like they finished the last one. Oh yah, and lock Kindl out of the building.
I wouldn't dwell on that crap bud, it's nothing but opinions. We are gonna hit 100 points again this season and look at the bad luck we have had with injuries, it's been crazy. We all know what these guys are capable of when healthy. In two weeks they will shift into the next gear and rip s*** up. So f%#k the power rankings.
I want nash to stay right where he is, only because I don't think we could get him or even need him and I don't want someone like san jose, st.louis or van getting him or it could be devistating for us.
I mean of course we could use him but at what cost.
I know that Berts takes alot of heat because of his past, but I love it when he gets pissed and fights. He is a beast of a man and is very strong, and don't think other teams don't take notice when he plays like this.
Best game Ericsson played so far this year, no stupid mistakes. Z-man had really good speed last night, just need some luck to go his way for those finishes. All the boys put in a great effort last night against a good team that I love beating. We just need that powerplay to start firing on all cylinders and this team is really gonna be scary.
