i couldn't help myself... Heatley is a dick. Other than him, the Wild have Mikko Koivu and not much else. But apparently "the best prospect pool in the league" Just bring your buddy Suter to the Wings and win a cup next year, and even contend every year after that.... that is the ultimate prize right? the stanley cup, not money.
-
at the very least, 2 or 3 more cups with Vladdy enforcing the blue line with Lids. I'd take those 2 over Stevens/Niedermayer any day of the week.

No way Brah...I'm Dany Heatley and I'M THE f***IN' BEST!

2012-2013 Odds of winning the Stanley Cup
Z Winged Dangler replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
And as for the Penguins, where does their stock go when Jordan Staal joins his brother in Carolina and the Pens 3rd line loses their depth and teams go back to just beating down Crosby and Malkin and Pittsburgh is "normal" again?? Agree with the assessment too on the Wings blasting up to #1 if both Parise and Suter sign. I agree with the Kings being high too as they are Champs and have almost all their roster signed thru next season. Nashville will miss the playoffs next year. -
Same as I've been saying all along. Nyquist is faster, more moves and creativity, got decent point production in not much ice time and in the top 6 I honestly believe that he'll be going after the Calder head to head with Smith if he's in the top 4. We can't keep discounting guys like Nyquist and Smith cause they didn't have room in their old ass stale line up to get their play time.

Is the Stanley Cup really the hardest trophy in all of pro sport?
Z Winged Dangler replied to RedWingsRox's topic in General
baseball is most likely the easiest, and the team that overpays the best players usually takes the prize. there's a sport that needs salary caps. football is tough, but you play 25ish games per year, and basketball....what can i say about that one, not even close to hockey. the physicality of hockey alone throws it over basketball and the fact that you need 4 good lines to win, not a few spares to give your 2-3 good players a rest. NHL is by far the most coveted and hardest trophy to win in all of sports. -
I like those 2 best. Or something to do with Hockeytown. Hockeytown Colosseum maybe...i stole your colosseum idea.
-
Smith will play his way into the top 4 for sure. If Suter doesn't sign to play top pairing with Kronwall, Smith may be his partner. .5 points per game with avg 15 min ice time...kid's good. and that's with Kindl i believe.
-
i took a look at his profile too. i was pleasantly surprised that he was over 6 feet and that he hits. he'd be a great grinder for the 4th line by the looks of it and he's now in the Wings organization, so they may as well work with him and see what he can do.
-
my thoughts exactly. and for Flip's 3.5 cap hit, he can also play D, got a bunch more points than huds this year and is way faster and much more reliable. Hudler dragged down the Z-Flip line all year and as they say "was riding the coat tails" getting tap-ins off the hard work of Z and Flip. when's the last time anyone saw hudler take the puck off anyone or win a puck battle along the boards? almost never. take a walk hudler.

...And now you're the judge on what we have knowledge about. You sir are an arrogant dick. And the Jets "exceeded" the 100 mil in revenue, that is not the concrete number that they made. 15 years of business and upper management should teach you a lot more about the variables of business, not just media face value numbers. The Jets owner is also one of the richest businessmen in Canada.
-
whoa now, i am very aware that the Wings are "the best", as i stated the Jets are "one of the best". i'm loyal to the Wings above all. to Richdg, the article you mentioned says "the Jets will not need NHL's revenue-sharing". that means exactly what i posted before that they are a self-sufficient franchise that is raking in money. just a heads up too with the asinie comment you made as well about them not sustaining the sales and what not, they've already locked up the first 5 years of season tickets with a massive waiting list to get season tickets after that as well as a waiting list to buy single seats to go to the games. so once again, know your facts and do some real research, not just google a couple key words and think you're smarter than the rest of us. later bud.

:rotflmao: in all seriousness though, Weber will sign with Nashville cause no team in the cap era not named the Leafs wants to deal away 3 years of 1st rounders. Suter however already stated he will be going on the FA market. Nashville will return to obscurity next year, but hey, they still have Fisher and Underwood...

When the Wings get a new arena, please do not sell out. Have a name that reflects the city like Joe Louis, not another arena named after a bank or a feminine hygiene product. That is all.

only 1 reason, their team's management is beyond terrible.

Since when were the Jets cash strapped? They had a $53,139,265 payroll last year with $11,160,735 available and with 15,300 seats that were full every night at the MTS centre, they grossed near the top of the league in revenue not to mention other sales. They've been back here in Winnipeg for 1 season, sold the most merch by far in the NHL this season and that's a confirmed fact and are currently in the process of contract talks and re-signing of players just like every other team in the league. Kane, Fehr, Mahachek, and Pavelec are RFA this summer. Slater, Glass, Wellwood, Stapleton, Jones, Flood and Mason are UFA. Currently, they have 14 players signed for $36,867,959 with $33,432,042 cap room with the cap set at $70,300,000. They need to resign Kane, Machacek, Slater, Wellwood, Stapleton, Flood, Pavelec and Mason. Grab a couple UFA from free agency in place of the others that need not be re-signed and they're good to go. Main points here: 1. Your posts have zero credibility cause you do no research and spew off the cuff bulls***. 2. The Jets are one of the best managed teams in the league with the entire city of Winnipeg behind them. 3. Players actually want to come to Winnipeg that aren't named Bryzgalov or Belanger cause of the excitement and the fanbase that makes the team feel at home. Kane will be signed for probably 5 years at about 4.5 per year by the Jets.

We all want to get something back, but when there's common knowledge as to a selected destination that a player is going to, it makes it hard to get anything. Holland may be able to trade signing rights for a 6th rounder... Look at it this way, it the Wings sign Parise, Suter and Schultz, the Devils, Preds and Ducks most likely get sweet f*** all to compensate. This summer, it's gonna go both ways on losing and gaining for UFA. Quincey on the other hand, if he signs somewhere for 3-3.5 mil, the Wings get draft pick compensation from whatever team would sign him as an RFA. Lets hope the Isles throw 4 mil at him cause their D is absolutely terrible. Take the picks as compensation and sign Schultz and/or DeKeyser.

I usuall like all your posts, but hell no to this one. 1. We don't bite people on the Wings 2. We don't like Canucks 3. He's an arrogant dickhead I'd rather go after a right handed player that fits the Wings fold. Someone like Pominville or Stafford from the Sabres. Plus i'd rather keep Franzen than get Burrows. I'd love to see Holland try a package like above to try to get Eriksson from Dallas to play with Z and Flip. Franzen, Andersson, and Almqvist for an all Swede trade.
-
Rights to Hudler for the Rights to Prust. there's my trade. Stuart is apparently going to SJ going by some article... That would be the weirdest trade in NHL history. Here, you "try" to sign our scraps and we'll take the kid that just doesn't want to play on your team. k thanks.

We Need to Get Tougher to Play Against
Z Winged Dangler replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
that's cause in the playoffs the Wings had no one who went to the front of the net and they didn't win battles in the dirty areas or attack the middle of the ice (aside from Z) the way a guy like, i don't know....Parise does. Insert him and it completely changes the way our top is and opens up more opportunities for everyone. also, Nyquist should be in the top 6. bottom 6, Prust would be perfect as someone said prior to play with Abdelkader. Eaves coming back hopefully too would provide a boost and another right handed shot that we sorely need. -
Red Wings make contract offer to D Justin Schultz
Z Winged Dangler replied to Tim.D's topic in General
7 points in 14 games with a 3rd pairing partner and 15 mins average a game, and was +3 in his stint....he beat out EVERYONE except for maybe Lids and Kronner, and Lids just retired so as far as i'm concerned, we have a top pairing of Smith-Kronwall unless Suter signs. If he gets 25 mins a night and PP time, you can expect him to put up even more than .5 points per game. Gotta do at least a little research before making excessively lame remarks like the mess above.- 294 replies

Then put a deserving goalie like Quick or Lundqvist. I still think that EA should make a cover for each team for anyone who pre-orders the game and then have the cover vote winner as the main in store stock.

Red Wings make contract offer to D Justin Schultz
Z Winged Dangler replied to Tim.D's topic in General
I think Suter is a perfect fit for Kronwall. And Schultz/Smith is intriguing, especially seeing as Schultz is a right handed shot. Suter - Kronwall Smith - Schultz Ericsson - White Quincey can walk and Kindl can serve as 7th or trade bait. Sign DeKeyser and season him in GR for a year and then replace White with DeKeyser after next year and Ryan Sproul should be ready to replace Ericsson the year after when his stupid contract expires.- 294 replies

HOW IN THE f*** IS RINNE STILL IN THERE OVER TAVARES?!?!?!?
-
this exactly. Helm is too valuable in the bottom 6. Green is a defensive liability, so he'd go 1 for 1 with Franzen, the one who floats. Laich would be 1 for 1 with Kindl...so not sure why the "responsible trading" Wings would in any way entertain a trade for those 2 involving Helm. The guy who wrote the article must be a big Caps fan. As much as i despise Franzen and his terrible work ethic half the time, he still is worth as much as that fugly dickhead Green.
