Forgive the following statement I'm sure I'm just frustrated from not hearing anything but what if Parise is doing this on purpose to stay in the spot-light for as long as he can? I know that's a harsh statement and I realize that he has a big decision to make but when was the last time a big-name UFA took this long to decide where he wanted to go. Seems like the last few years most of the best players were gone after day 2. Just Sayin.

I knew he was gonna go, was just unsure as to where. Wow $4million a season nice Pay Check for him but seems a bit steep. We'll see what he can do in Western Canada!!

I know everyone has there own opnions on here and we've all stated them pretty well over the years but I really do hope we keep Abdelkader. Yes he is a local boy to where I live and that is a big factor in my favoritisim for him but he does have some good qualites and assests for this team and not to mention Babsy has said on more than one occasion that he likes Abby. He's a good young tough player that does provide some offense but really it's his physical qualities that make him valuable to a team like ours especially after signing another tough guy in Tootoo, imagine those two on one line. OUCH!!

This really isn't suprising after signing Gustavsson yesterday. I know we were talking about getting a different goalie in here but I wasn't sure if would happen and I wasn't sure how much confidence I had in Joey Mac, He was pretty good for us last season but as someone on here said he's to inconsistent to STAY on an NHL Roster. I hope he finds success wherever he goes and maybe we can put him in a package deal to get someone for us on D or something like that.

At this point I'd just want to address our Defensive issues right now and hopefully we can land Suter to solve that. It's something like this is why I hate the signings of Tootoo and Samuelsson on Day 1 of Free Agency if it's a money issue we could have had a better chance at getting both of them. Now I'm not so sure with only around $17 Million based on what Cap Geek says we will land even one. If it's just about money than we will lose both of them IMHO but if it's about making a better career choice as to haveing a successfull career and winning a Stanley Cup the Wings should still be one of the top teams in contention for these big-name players. As much as I want Parise we need Suter the most but if they both wanna go to the same team than we may lose both of them and that's a scary thing to think about especially still needing a Big D-Man to replace Liddy and another one to replace Stuart. I personally would rather see Parise either come here go to Minnesota or stay in New Jersey. Philly or Pittsburgh would be just too much for me to handle, though I may have to if it comes down to it. I hope something is decided soon becasue I didn't sleep worth a crap last night and when I did sleep all I could dream about was getting or losing one or both of these players to many more night's like this and I'll be part of the Walking Dead. Let's just get this done and move on.

Perhaps, but we only have about $17 Million left in Cap Space as per Cap Geek. Yes I really don't want Parise and Suter really do think we need them both. Obviously we need Suter more than Parise but it would be nice to have a big-name forward to help bolster our offense a bit more. Yes I do want them both and no I don't want to over-pay for them but this is the first Off-Season in a long time that we've had this much Cap Space and I really do want to make a big splash becasue I'd like to see the Wings win at least one more Cup in my lifetime.

I really hope that his is not just a rumor and that Suter has decided to come to Detroit we NEED a big Defenseman. I really wanted both Parise and Suter but after the tragedy today I'll settle for just Suter. I just hope we hear something soon I really can't take much more of thise. If the post on here was correct and Parise is a Pen than I really need to go PUKE.

Now I'm hoping and praying that we can at least get Suter and we make a BIG Trade. Very disappointed in these signings. I really can't express how bad I feel without using some foul language and I don't wanna get kicked off here for my Angry Words right now.

I think something like this just shows what type of organization the Wings are and that we as fans are lucky to be a part of it. I really hope things work out for us. Getting these two would really bolster our chance of getting another Cup SOON and that really just what I want!!!! Bring Em Home Kenny!!!! Go Detroit Red Wings!!

I just hope he does get both of them. However I won't be greedy I'll take one if we can get one. Go get em Kenny!!

Not really what I expected for our first signing of Free Agency but looks like a pretty good deal. Can't wait to see this guy in action!!

LMFAO!! Not bad at all. It sucks thoguht UFA Starts at 12 Noon tomorrow and I have to work until 1 so the last hour of my shift will be agony as I will be constantly watching the clock so I an get home and see what has happened so far.

Edmonton is stacked with a lot of good young quality talent so it was very fitting for Schultz to go there. Oilers need to start having some success soon with these young stars. I don't really care if they do or not since the only Canadian team I like is Montreal but with all the 1st Overall Picks the Oilers have had in the past 3 drafts and with this signing it seem they'd need to do something in the near future to make all this worth it.

He wouldn't exactally be a concelation prize if we couldn't get Parise or Suter but if he could come in and make a positive impact and the deal was right I'd be on board. However, I'm with most of you who say that we'd have to give up way to much for him so I hope we can make a big splash in Free Agency and get the right people with $$$ and not have to make to many trades.

Not really a big suprise. It would be great to have his Cap Space available to be able to throw as much as possible at Parise and or Suter that way money won't be an issue. Huds was good a while back but he has severly dropped off as far as offensive production and I won't really miss him.

Kenny has already proven that he is a fantastic GM and knows how to build a Championshp Contending Team. I will say that I've lost a little faith in him over the past few years but still love and apprecaite what he has done in the past to change Detroit from the Dead Wings to Hockeytown and a team that has won 4 Stanley Cups in recent history. This will be a big summer for him but I think he's already cemented his leagacy of being a great GM for Detroit and one of the best in the NHL.

I'm sure that more than just the Pens are targeting Suter and Parise. I mean we've all heard there a a bunch of teams out there that want them on their rosters. Can't really see the Pens getting both. Maybe one or the other but not both of them; as someone said on here they'd lose a ton of depth and be in the same boat the Blackhawks were in a couple seasons ago. Detroit is in the running for both of them, I don't see us signing both of them either but to get one would be very helpful. Definetly don't wanna see the Pens get any stronger or anywhere near another Cup. Whatever happens happens I just hope the Wings can get someone in here that can help lead us to another Cup SOON!!

I would love to see the Wings keep them both. Defintley want Abby back and unless we can get someone a little bit better we may as well keep Quincey; especially after all we gave up for him.

I'm all for going with a youth movment if we can't who we need. Parise and Suter would be great to have but you've got to realize they are going to be pursued by a lot of teams as well as the teams they are currently on. We defintely need to constantly bring up players from GR and such but it has to be at the righ time. I'm even all for trading for a player that has either gone high in recent previous drafts that could possibly come in right away and help us or trading for a 1st Round Pick this Draft and bringing them up right away. I realize that our system develops players slowly and Holland likes his players over-ripe but forgive me when I say this but Holland is Stail and his way of thinking has been great for us in the past but the League is getting younger and we to try to keep up and do what we can to stay youthful, which I believe will give us a necessary spark on our team. Haven't really looked at the Free Agent Market to know who else is a UFA but if we can't get Parise or Suter I would imagine we could get someone or make a trade, that would be the way I'd go.
