No, I didn't. I guess I meant he didn't do anything to produce points. But I thought he brought an element to the game that this team needs right now.
-
I agree. But nobody else did anything either. The thing I liked about Tatar is he was fast and physical. He threw the body and was able to forecheck. That is somebody we need on the third line.
-
Cleary is so freaking slow. He covers half the ice just to turn.
-
Come on man. You act like these teams aren't competitive. If anything, the games so far this season has shown every team is competitive. No game is easy, for any team. (except for that first game for St. Louis).
-
I know seriously. What an idiot. Holland has no idea what he is doing.

signed Red Wings sign D Kent Huskins to 1-year, $750k contract
cupforwings replied to Jedi's topic in General
Solid signing, given the situation. People here will hate Holland no matter what. THe guy is top 3 GM in hockey, and he proves it year in and year out. We will be competitive this year. -
Agreed. Now we need to someone to replace Quincy. He is terrible.
-
That would be a bad trade. If Flip and Nyquist are going anywhere it will be fore Bobby Ryan. Yandle isn't worth that.
-
$2M a year for Mike Green? That would be nice. How about a 6 year $6M deal?

I don't understand how people can say Semin and Doan wouldn't help... Last year, the wings were a top 10 offense. Holland has already upgraded the offense by adding Samuelsson, TooToo, and Brunner. Basically, a bigger version of last years already good team. If we were able to add Semin, it would add another dimension to the offense. In my opinion it is a no brainer, especially if we get him a relatively good cap hit. Doan would take it to another level, potentially giving us the best offense in the League. Parise isn't worth his contract, and Semin is equally as good, if not better. Offensively, we can still be a juggernaut if we get Semin or Semin and Doan. Obviously, the big question is on Defense.

I was all for nash, but that was only if we signed Suter. Now a top D-man is the number one priority. If we can trade one, and sign semin and doan, we will be a serious contender again.

Helm is our third line center... He is now our third most important player.
-
Still no decision from Suter. Speculation abounds.
cupforwings replied to mtuhockey7's topic in General
We need Suter for sure. But I don't think Holland will stand pat with the top 6. He has said that he is looking to make a trade, most likely for Nash. If you add Nash with Flip and Franzen's salary, you still have room for Semin as well. That would be a dream scenario, but I imagine they have something like this in mind. Parise isn't worth 10 million... not a chance. -
This is exactly what my brother and I were talking about today. Nash is a much better winger than Filpula and Franzen. This would be good only if we signed Semin as well. Imagine Semin with Datsyuk and Nash with Zetterberg. I love Flip but Nash is a better winger by far. Why do you not want him? And yes, we could use him ha Not to mean, but that is stupid ha

Schultz already has said he wants to play in Canada. I don't think we have that good of a chance at landing him, although it would be awesome.

WCQF Game 1 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Predators 3
cupforwings replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I actually think we played pretty well for the last two periods. We carried the play and got a lot of scoring opportunities. They got some lucky bounces. Thats just the way it goes sometimes. I guarantee if we play like that again, we will win more times than not. -
Letsgowings= Bi-POLAR

Well if the Blues have been playing bad the last few games, then this game is even more important to them. With only 3 games heading into the playoffs, another loss, especially to a team they so adamantly admit to be superior to themselves, beats them, it could severely mess with their psyche. We all know Detroit can turn it on in the playoffs with the experience they have. St. Louis, on the other hand, is a young team. Young teams are more apt to getting down on themselves when they lose. I think the last thing I would want as a blues fan is to see them enter the playoffs on a losing streak.

4 points in 4 games is already looking better then last year. You would really just trade Hudler for a draft pick? That draft pick would most likely never become anything in the NHL. Really terrible idea.
-
Can hit the minus button more than once?
-
Ken Daniels and Micky Redmond should be on NBC
-
No, it is absolutely impossible. There is a 0% chance that Hudler would reach 100 points ever in his career. The guy sucks. He was worthless virtually the whole season, and non-existent in the playoffs. The dumbest thing Babacock ever said was that Hulder would reach 70 pts this year. Go back to russia Hudler.

I said all time talent, not all time greatness.. Its semantica anyway. Talent wise, I would put him up there in the top talented players of all time. Look at his numbers for his career. They are unbelievable. Greatness implies longevity, which he will only achieve if he can stay healthy. But talent is something that can be debated now. And the guys is f***** talented.
-
Crosby is more then just another talented player... The guy is a beast, is 23 years old, and was on pace for 120 or more points. I hate Crosby as much as the next guy, but he is one of the most talented players of all time. Hopefully he is able to recover and keep putting up monster points like he was this year.

I can't believe anybody would vote for Thornton. Easily Datsyuk, and its not even remotely close
