I was so glad Silva won. Been a fan of his for as long as I can remember. Finally shut that loud mouth up for good, and what better way for all of this to happen than for Sonnen to look like a complete idiot after that failed backfist and turtle in front of everyone.

I can see it both ways. Perhaps he could have had a little more foresight to keep the ship sailing strong, but the last thing I want to see in the future is a team full of bad contracts because of fear from not being able to compete for a cup. We're just going to have to accept that the Wings will possibly decline in the near future. The brass has to continue to build through the draft and make smart signings/trades if the opportunity comes up. -
Time to see how Kronwall handles the reigns now.

Great goalie, young, been good for the last couple years, became the best player during the season and in the playoffs, and already has a SC and Conn Smythe 4 seasons in, and he's just fun as hell to watch. He deserves it. -

Who knows. Not to bring basketball into this but I know the Suns felt that to go further in the playoffs they had to get past the Spurs. Took them years before they did, still no championship. Who knows if that's how some organizations feel about the Wings, to get farther in the playoffs you have to go through them.
