St. James: Wings have inquired about Rick Nash

At this point I'd rather want to see "Wings have inquired about Jack Johnson".Nash is a very good player, but we can get better by signing some UFA forward(s) unlike by signing some UFA d-man left.
  2. Another reclamation project by Ken which I definitely approve. He could become a valuable trade asset if he's going to play good for sure
  3. I'd rather have him signed on a 1year deal,otherwise can't complain too much
  4. Not a tootoo fan in general, but he's a type of player that lacks here...tough,annoying SOB,that plays every shift on the edge. He might not be "a wings guy",but he'd learn to play the wings way or send tweets from the press box every other game
  5. Even when we pick bottom liners,we pick 'small? guys.last year conner and now tootoo

who's on the outs if we sign multiple forwards?

Nothing against Jan,but with Bert/Cleary,Brunner,Eaves,Tatar there, his chance to earn a spot is pretty slim imo. I'd be happy if he eventually clears waivers and go back to Griffins.

    Parise Likely Out. Next Options

9-10 mill.?Is Garth Snow somehow involved? I'd rather split that money on signing 2 veterans on 1year contract Doan +Jagr than signing Parise long term with such a ridiculous cap hit

Red Wings make contract offer to D Justin Schultz

Maybe Babs should promise him top line(s) minutes. It did work with Brunner

    Pens Targeting Suter and Parise

One thing I don't understand. If the Pens are such a desirable team to play for with Crosby,Malkin...etc. why didn't Max Talbot take a home discount and stay and not run to Philly ?

    Ken Holland

It's going to be a huge test for him,no doubt, but don't think he'll fail. He isn't the aggressive GM,but neither is stupid not to act when he needs to. You can't replace Lidstrom, that's obvious, but all this situation reminds me a bit on Schneider's departure. Did Ken act then?Yes by signing Rafalski so I'm optimistic he'll do the same with Suter
  18. We've been there before, having top 6 players playing on the bottom lines,so there's nothing wrong with the Babs statement.

    Power Play

We are discussing about the majority of the Wings problem, but what to do with our PP? Nick's gone,Homer and Hudler likely,so we obviously need some new faces on our PP units. Don't get me wrong,I'll sing 'jingle bells'on the 1st of July if we'd manage to sign Parise and Suter ,but we should sign some player(s) with the 'shoot the puck mentality' on PP as well.
