I'm sure Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) & Jimmy Howard ($2.250m) will want to make more than that next year. If we spend right to the cap we wont be able to afford to have them return.

Im going to convert a pair of ice skates into inline skates because i like the fit, and stiffness of an ice boot a lot better. I am trying to find a set of sprung A7 chassis for my wheels. If anyone has a set for sale, or comes across one let me know.. Thanks

Thats what i have always thought too. I'd like to see someone brought in that would spark something in Franzen, or teach him how to play like the power forward he can be. That was one of the reasons i would have liked Jagr here last year. I think putting him on the 3rd line would be a good idea too. Mabe at center?? It would force him to play 2-way hockey, and then he wouldnt be so bored all the time.

I'd like to have him. He's pretty good at faceoffs too isnt he??

Wasnt this last season the 2nd season where Kindl had an oppertunity to be in the line-up, but couldnt make it?? I seem to remember him compeating with Salei the season before.

The guy played on out top pairing last year, We just lost two of our top four, And he blocks shots with his face. I wouldnt be up for trading that away right now.

Every little bit of cap space is going to count. You over pay a bit here n there, and you go from having a solid back up goalie to being stuck w a conklin again. I do think Helm is worth every penny though. It is hard to find players that play as hard as he does every game. Having those types of players makes everyone (except Franzen i guess) want to play that much harder. Its a good start Kenny. Keep up the good signings.

This applies to a guy standing in front of the net as well. It seems like it takes one guy out of the play for us. Their pk players match up one-on-one, the rest of our guys rip shots from the perimeter, and the shots get blocked before they get anywhere. We need more movement, more guys cycling down low, to break the opposing teams coverage.

They beat the #1, #2, & #3 in the west. That's a pretty awesome accomplishment. Good luck to them in the finals.

I always thought this guy was awesome. I don't know what it would take to get boson to give him up though. I think he is exactly the kind of player the Wings need right now.

This is what i find frustrating about him. There are guys on the team that can put in twice the effort as he does, and only have as much talent at they have been blessed with. Guys like Helm, Eaves, or Connor that put in so much effort, but will always be supporting bottom line guys. Its a shame.
