Probably. They want to play together on a team that has a chance at the cup every year for a decent amount of money.. Sounds like we're one of the only options. Also I assume they know Howie from team USA so that might help.. I think we have pretty good chances of landing both of them. Can't wait for july 1st

I don't know about dynasty but I think they'll go deeper in the playoffs next year than recent winners (chi,bos)....

Maybe he'll throw a little Caesars gift card your way or something haha. But I'm definitely for anything tht helps the image of the city of Detroit. And I hope our new arena can show class just the way the wings organization does.. Thus a "classy" arena name like cadillac centre sounds great. I can only imagine the jokes people would make.. We're already considered an old team haha

I've been reading rumors that staal might be traded this year.. He'll be a UFA after this year I'm pretty sure Edit: not sure how reliable of rumors or anything but I wouldn't be too surprised

Agreed. I always thought Stuart was a great d man. I think moving his rights was Hollands first step in being more pro-active this off season. Glad we got something for him rather than nothing.. Can't wait to see what else happens this off season.

That's a lot to give up IMO.. Yes Corey perry is good and they would want a lot for him but just not worth it.. Filpula is finally producing, Tatar could be good down the line (tho I wouldn't mind giving him up as a prospect in a good trade). White isn't the best but he is pretty solid. And then of course the first round pick is always valuable. I dont know what I'd counter with because I just think perry will be too expensive and probably stay with the ducks for a long time..

Offer him an invite to camp and see what he's got.. Assuming he doesn't sign anywhere by then. Sounds like he has a promising future though.... He'll probly like the idea of a him an smith future top 2.

It's probably between Zette and Kronner. Leaning more towards Zette but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave it to Kronner. Having a D man as cap is good because they're out on the ice more often. But captains usually aren't the biggest hitters.. We'll see soon.
